Temporary GIS Analyst – Contractor

Contract Term: Late August 2025 – December 31, 2025 (Possible Extension)
Hours: 30+ hours/week
Rate: Commensurate with experience
About the Role
Platte River Analytics is seeking a skilled GIS Analyst for a temporary contractor engagement through the end of 2025, with the potential for extension. The primary responsibility will be mapping leases and legal descriptions to support ongoing energy-related GIS projects.
Key Responsibilities
Map leases and legal descriptions with precision and attention to detail
Interpret and map metes and bounds descriptions
Maintain consistent progress tracking and meet agreed deadlines
Collaborate with the Platte River Analytics team to ensure quality and accuracy
Provide regular status updates on assigned work
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in Esri products, particularly ArcGIS Pro
Demonstrated experience mapping legal descriptions, including metes and bounds
Strong organizational skills with the ability to track progress and manage multiple deliverables
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Additional Details
Contract will begin at the end of August 2025 and run through December 31, 2025
Possibility of contract extension based on performance and project needs
Minimum of 30 hours/week commitment; flexible scheduling
Contractor may work on other contracts simultaneously
Software licenses will be provided if necessary
Remote work with no fixed working hours – results and deadlines are the priority
