GIS Intern

The Peoria County Information Technology Services Department is seeking a paid GIS intern under the direction of the GIS Manager. The GIS intern will assist the team by providing GIS services to Peoria County departments, clients, and the community. GIS duties include, but are not limited to: Process GIS data, map, and 911 addressing requests from customers. Create and maintain GIS applications, maps, and data products on the Peoria County GIS website.  Intern will also assist in updating planimetric datasets using the latest aerial imagery.

• The position will be based on a workweek consisting of 15-20 hours.
• Intern must be available to meet during business hours using video conferencing platforms such as Teams.
• Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm.
• The position will conclude at the end of December with a possible extension into next year.
• Hourly Rate: $20/hr.
